Kylie’s narrative.
Synopsis

One Merlot sip, then another – one more. ‘Maybe it’s time,’ Kylie thought, swilling her goblet. It was one thing to be made redundant… but twice in three months? This was more than a curveball. It was a sign.

“You’ve dreamed of having your own design studio since you were 14!” A friend reminded Kylie. “Just take the leap! You know you can!” They were right.

On the night of Kylie’s second redundancy, she whipped up and registered the Say-So name, set up a digital footprint (read: URL and socials) and created a vision for her ideal studio. The next morning she called everyone she’d met in the industry over the past 10 years to share the news. The rest, as they say, is history.

Studio Chronicles
chapter 1

Many moons ago (15 years to be exact), Kylie worked within a Sydney marketing team. Despite strict brand guidelines, Kylie made it her core mission to push boundaries within strict limits.

chapter 3

Kylie then moved on to work as an art director specialising in video content. Jet-setting around the country (AKA living the dream) to capture videos, ‘shoots and campaigns. Here, Kylie fell in love with storytelling and big-picture strategies.

CHAPTER 2

Next, in a marketing design role, new doors opened to a kaleidoscope of corporate clients like TAFE and Warner Brothers. Kylie learnt the intricacies of what breathes life into brands to create standout impact.

After moving to Brisbane, Kylie worked in branding for small businesses. She adored the connected client relationships. Here, Kylie learnt the power of conversation to unlock important stories and connect creatively.
